Some people enjoy their new tan despite not necessarily being good for you.
Tan often makes us feel a thousand times better. So, what can we do to make out tan last longer?
Tanning products
There is an easier, faster and more environmentally friendly way to set the tone – products with a bronzing effect. It has long been proven that visiting a solarium is a very unsafe method to get a tan. And the “bronze shade” after it is not a sign of success, but damage to the skin by ultraviolet radiation. But what to do when you want to have a year-round tanned body, and not go Snow White? There is an exit! You can get a tan without a solarium and scorching sun rays at home or in the studio. Now there are many self-tanners for the face and body, and in general this method has become very popular. It is not in vain – it is convenient, fast and safe.
There are also some folk remedies that help keeping your natural tan in place.
Hydration
When it comes to “long-lasting” tan, there is no such thing as too much hydration. The drier the skin, the faster the beautiful bronze shade that you so persistently sought will come off. It doesn’t hurt to replenish your cosmetic bag with new body care products. Let it be a nourishing cream or lotion, a moisturizing spray, whipped butter, a special after-sun product – in general, everything that will prevent peeling on the skin. Moisturizing cosmetics should be used not only after a shower, but also during the day.
Beta-carotine
Beta-carotene, which enters the body, accelerates the production of melanin, a substance that is responsible for skin tone. It turns out that in order to maintain a bronze tan, it does not hurt to change your diet. Eat apricots and peaches, carrots, melon, pumpkin, tomatoes, spinach. Fruits and vegetables high in beta-carotene can be replaced with juices based on them.
Nutritional supplements
Recently, capsules with a natural composition have appeared on sale. They are high in beta-carotene, vitamins and antioxidants. They are recommended for those who do not like to eat fruits and vegetables. But, we note, plant foods are still healthier!
