Do you want to make your wardrobe more sustainable? Where to begin?

Read our guide and change some of your everyday (and not so everyday) habits to start living a better-for-environement-and-the-future life!

Buy Less

Here is the first idea. And you already know it! Buy less stuff. It is not so difficult. We recommend taking some time to think before making a decision to purchase something. This way you can at least avoid spontaneous unnecessary buys.

Rememeber, material objects do not make you happier! There are many TED talks on this subject, here is one:

Organise Your Wardrobe

Every stylist will advice you on that. But by organising your wardrobe not only you can get rid of old and not useful clothes, but also you may find some items to wear instead of buying new ones. By the way, don’t throw your old garments into the trash! There are better ways to deal with them!

Alter Pieces Your Own

Have you gained or lost some weight? Alter the items you own.

Bored with your old clothes? Change them! Why not experimenting with sewing machine or trying embroidering? It may turn into another meditative practice that we all love!

Don’t Trow Your Clothes Away

Well, sometimes you have to. But small rips, missing buttons and stains can be easily ‘cured’. The same goes for shoes!

If there is no way to help or you are sick of the item, make sure to recycle it or you can donate it to someone in need!

Wash You Clothes Less Often

Your clothes. Laundering is responsible for about 60 to 80 percent of the garment’s environmental impact. Unless you swear too much (in case you live in a very hot climate), you can wash you clothes after 2-3 wears without any problem. It significantly reduces the impact!

Moreover, try to wash your garmets at 30 degrees and dry them naturally. This way you can further save quite a bit of energy.
