Fashion is a game for the most daring.

Of course, it is important to understand that not all catwalk trends are good in everyday life: at fashion shows, designers try to show the maximum of their creativity and often use the hyperbole technique.

Weirdly-shaped heels

One of the most interesting trends of the new season is unusually shaped heels. A broken egg, nail polish, a rose, a candle, and even soap – there were so many heels in the Loewe spring-summer collection. In these original sandals you will definitely be the center of attention at any party πŸ˜„

Transparent items

In the spring of 2022, designers are calling on fashionistas to drop all complexes and wear transparent things. Of course, this is an extremely bold and rather controversial trend, but it can also be β€œtamed”: wear transparent clothes over regular clothes or use them for beach fashion (over a swimsuit). But what you definitely shouldn’t do is to wear transparent things on your naked body, as in the shows of some designers. Remember: not everything that looks spectacular on the catwalk should be used in everyday life.

Super-mini skirts

Extremely short minis are a feature of the new Miu Miu collection. It seems to be much more like a wide belt than a skirt πŸ˜… Of course, going for a walk around the city in such a thing is complete madness. Let’s leave such fashion experiments for the catwalk: for real life, it is better to choose a skirt ten to fifteen centimeters (at least) longer.

Catsuits

Catsuits are skin-tight jumpsuits like the ones Kim Kardashian loves to wear. Well, for the image at the Met Gala, such an outfit fits perfectly, but in real life, few people dare to wear such an outfit. Although we have nothing against it: it looks very stylish!

Low-rise

In the spring of 2022, low-rise trousers will finally take over the palm. It would seem that this trend is already familiar to us from the zero fashion and therefore does not seem so shocking. But in a modern interpretation, a low landing looks much more bold: firstly, it has become even lower than before, and secondly, now women of fashion combine it with the shortest possible top, exposing almost the entire stomach.

Easy DIY Halloween Costumes 2021 https://lifestylearchitects.club/easy-diy-halloween-costumes-2021/ Sun, 26 Sep 2021 12:57:21 +0000 https://lifestylearchitects.club/?p=2056 Here we are again waiting for Halloween.

This year was scary, wasn’t it? Maybe just a bit less scary than 2020.

We don’t know how serious you are about celebrating Halloween. However, we want to recommend thinking about your potential costume well before the event.

And now it is the proper time to decide if you want to get a decent (and spooky) costume from one of many shops for about 100$ (which is quite a reasonable price).

For instance, Urban Outfitters suggest many interesting pieces and accessories for the upcoming holiday. By the way, even if you decide saving up some cash on a costume, why not buy a set of tarot cards to set a nice ghosty atmosphere for yourself and your guests?

So, our first easy DIY idea suggestion for halloween is

La Catrina / Sugar Skull Girl

In case you don’t want to waste money on meaningless costumes, but you still do want to buy something special, how about buying something you can actually wear on a regular non-Halloween day? For those of you like oriental and summer motifs, buying a floral printed dress or shirt might be a nice option. You can easily turn your new piece into a Sugar Skull Girl/Boy costume by applying some dramatic make-up on your face:

For instance, you can buy some dramatic print dresses on Showpo, the Australian leading global fashion company focused on the next generation of young women:

And here on Hallenstein Brothers you can buy a decent floral male shirt. They ship internationally:

One thing you will need though is make-up. However, if you do not have this kind of white face and body paint, don’t worry! It is easy to get it in any big supermarket. Moreover, you can create a great Day of the Dead face using just black eye shadows and a pencil! Here is a video to watch (you can practically do the same with shadows and a pencil and still have a decent spooky effect!):

Ghost

This is an easy one. You, your child or even your pet can easily transform into a scary monster by throwing an old white sheet on. Do you have one? Just cut out the holes for eyes and your costume is done! Is that original? No. But it will save you some time and money πŸ™‚

Here is how your dog would look like. But maybe only for a quick photoshoot. Does it worth it though?

Witch

Oh, yeah, another easy and quick transformation, especially if you have a broom. Anyways, one thing that you will need is a hat. And it is quite possible to make a hat using paper and black paint. Although it is much easier to buy one for under 10$ πŸ™‚

Wear something dark and use black eye liner or shadows to create a scary look.

Penniwise

And another one great for boys. It doesn’t have to be a proper costume. Whatever you wear will do. However you will need a proper clown make-up kit. Just tousle your hair (or your child’s hair) and you are good to go!

Lazy Guide to Ethical Wardrobe https://lifestylearchitects.club/lazy-guide-to-ethical-wardrobe/ Thu, 18 Feb 2021 15:52:44 +0000 https://lifestylearchitects.club/?p=1573

Do you want to make your wardrobe more sustainable? Where to begin?

Read our guide and change some of your everyday (and not so everyday) habits to start living a better-for-environement-and-the-future life!

Buy Less

Here is the first idea. And you already know it! Buy less stuff. It is not so difficult. We recommend taking some time to think before making a decision to purchase something. This way you can at least avoid spontaneous unnecessary buys.

Rememeber, material objects do not make you happier! There are many TED talks on this subject, here is one:

Organise Your Wardrobe

Every stylist will advice you on that. But by organising your wardrobe not only you can get rid of old and not useful clothes, but also you may find some items to wear instead of buying new ones. By the way, don’t throw your old garments into the trash! There are better ways to deal with them!

Alter Pieces Your Own

Have you gained or lost some weight? Alter the items you own.

Bored with your old clothes? Change them! Why not experimenting with sewing machine or trying embroidering? It may turn into another meditative practice that we all love!

Don’t Trow Your Clothes Away

Well, sometimes you have to. But small rips, missing buttons and stains can be easily ‘cured’. The same goes for shoes!

If there is no way to help or you are sick of the item, make sure to recycle it or you can donate it to someone in need!

Wash You Clothes Less Often

Your clothes. Laundering is responsible for about 60 to 80 percent of the garment’s environmental impact. Unless you swear too much (in case you live in a very hot climate), you can wash you clothes after 2-3 wears without any problem. It significantly reduces the impact!

Moreover, try to wash your garmets at 30 degrees and dry them naturally. This way you can further save quite a bit of energy.

There are many more ways to make your life more ethical and sustainable. We will continue our list of tips. Do you have any idea? Write us to info@lifestylearchitects.club
