Book is the best present. And not just for kids.
Today we remember the best Christmas stories and give you a hint on what kind of a modern book can make a great present this year!
What is your favorite Christmas story? Our top three classics are the following:
The Father Christmas Letters
by J. R. R. Tolkien
This book is perfect for children! It is written in the form of letters from Santa Clause telling his stories of everyday life. Letters were written over a period of twenty years, this way Tolkien entertained his children each Christmas!
Adults will also find these stories entertaining and cute) Or maybe you can write your own Christmas stories for your kids?
I hope you will like the little things I have sent you. You seem to be most interested in Railways just now, so I am sending you mostly things of that sort. I send as much love as ever, in fact more. We have both, the old Polar Bear and I, enjoyed having so many nice letters from you and your pets. If you think we have not read them you are wrong; but if you find that not many of the things you asked for have come, and not perhaps quite as many as sometimes, remember that this Christmas all over the world there are a terrible number of poor and starving people.
If you are searching for a special edition of Father Christmas, you can find a version here at Alibris featuring reproduced pictures and 10 envelopes with pull-out letters&pictures for children to enjoy.
A Christmas Carol
by Charles Dickens
Our second favourite classics. There are five chapters, each of them tells a story of evolution of the main character Scrooge. By the end of the story he becomes a better man, embodying the spirit of Xmas.
God bless us every one!
Darkness is cheap, and Scrooge liked it.
The Gift of the Magi
by O. Henry
For those who are very lazy to read, this is a very short story! It is about young husband and wide trying to buy secret Chrismas gifts with little money. How far are you willing to go to show love for your beloved ones?
Life is full of sniffles sobs and smiles. With sniffles predominating.

Our choice is The Promised land by Barack Obama! It is also number one in most bestsellers’ lists.
